Sensory Guru is a leading company specializing in designing and installing sensory environments, intuitive software, and inclusive learning tools that are both cutting-edge and inspiring. They partner with renowned brands such as Tobii Dynavox, providing their products and software to the NHS, schools, and care facilities.
Brief
Produce a series of engaging promotional videos for three Sensory Guru products—Magic Eye FX, Magic Mirror, and Magic Room. Each video should showcase the unique features and benefits of the technology while maintaining a consistent brand identity. Using pre-prepared animation templates the videos must effectively capture the essence of each product, ensuring they are both visually compelling and informative for the audience.
The process
The process began with reviewing the pre-prepared animation templates and the director’s instructions to ensure alignment with the creative vision. While the templates provided a foundation, they also imposed some creative restrictions, requiring careful adaptation to highlight the unique features of Magic Eye FX, Magic Mirror, and Magic Room. Attention to detail was key in refining animations, ensuring smooth transitions, clear messaging, and engaging visuals. Although strict instructions guided the process, the director’s detailed feedback led to multiple refinements, resulting in product videos that, while cohesive, were not entirely identical in structure.
Promotional interview
I created a promotional video featuring a local inclusive dance company using Sensory Guru's Magic Room. The majority of the filming was done by myself, capturing the dancers interacting with the technology. This footage was then edited into a compelling promotional-style interview, highlighting the transformative impact of Magic Room on the dancers' experience.
Interview videos
I filmed and edited interview videos using a two-camera setup for YouTube and social media platforms. Working closely with the director, I captured multiple angles to create dynamic, professional content. Through careful editing and the director's guidance, each video conveyed clear, compelling narratives that resonated with our audience, effectively showcasing expert insights and user testimonials.
