Commercial Video Production
Unit Creative is a UK-based video and graphic design studio founded by award-winning TV commercial director Carl Prechezer. The studio boasts an impressive client roster, having collaborated with renowned brands such as AstraZeneca, Wagamama, Wasabi, and Lanson Champagne.
As a Freelance Graphic Designer at Unit Creative, I assisted in various stages of productions. My experience at Unit Creative not only improved my graphic design skills but also gave me a deep understanding of what goes into creating engaging commercial content as well as various other aspects of the design industry.
AstraZeneca commercial
Shot from a fishing trawler just outside of Brixham, Devon this award nominated commercial is an unbranded video produced for AstraZeneca.
On the shoot I was a production assistant, helping with many production tasks such as carrying and setting up equpment, contacting personel and having the sea legs (and stomach) to sit in the bow of a boat injesting rushes and preparing media during quite choppy waters.
On the post production side I was edit assistant, preparing the rushes and Premiere project as well as gathering requested sound effects.
BrighterBikes commercial
After walking away with a £90,000 deal with two dragons on BBC's Dragon's Den, BrighterBikes needed a promotional video.
Working with the director, I was tasked with editing the video as well as gathering materaial such as the voice over, music and text effects.
Food portfolio montage
This is a montage for director Carl Prechezer/Unit Creative's portfolio.
Working with Carl, we grabbed some of the best footage from the clients he worked with including Wagamama and The Wine Show of which he was the director. I edited the video from his instruction.
The Attack BTS - AstraZeneca
I was an edit assistant on the behind the scenes video of this multi-award winning unbranded commercial for AstraZeneca.
Colour grading, music sourcing and sound effect gathering were my main focuses while edit assisting this piece alongside the director.
